TUITION FEE:

If you are a Nepalese student who plans to study in the UK, the first thing you must consider is that UK education is not inexpensive at first glance and can be heavy on the pockets given the exchange rate between the Pound and Nepalese currency. However, in the long run, the overall cost of tuition is significantly lower compared to other countries because the duration of programs in the UK is shorter. At the same time, plenty of scholarships are available for international students. You can check out the university websites to identify the scholarships offered.

The cost of course varies with level, course, universities and even location. However, on average the undergraduate tuition fee can be around 10000-12000 GBP per year for most programs and that for postgraduate or master degree tuition fee starts from GBP 11,000 to up to 32,000 GBP per year for international students.

At the same time, you must show you are financially capable to stay in the UK and have enough money to pay the first-year course fees. As a student, the average cost of living in the UK is around £1000 to £1600, including the rent.

WORK WHILE STUDYING:

There can be limitations on the overall number of hours you can work as an international student. The permitted work hours should be indicated in your passport (usually up to 20 hours per week and full-time during vacations). In order to allow you to devote enough time to your studies, your university will also provide information concerning work hour restrictions.

POST STUDY WORKING VISA:

Previously, candidates having a masters or a bachelor’s degree could stay in the UK for a maximum of 4 months to look and search for a job. After the implementation of new rules by the Government of the UK, international students are now being allowed to stay in the UK for a maximum of 2 years.
